Understanding this background helps learners see how bridges and other public structures in Indonesia can carry deep historical and political meaning beyond their practical function. Additionally, the tradition of illuminating landmarks like Jembatan Ampera at night reflects a broader cultural appreciation for turning public spaces into shared, festive experiences for both locals and visitors.
