Refund Policy
1. General Refund Policy Basantara processes refunds for all programs under the conditions below, in accordance with the 「Act on the Establishment, Operation, and Extracurricular Lessons of Hagwon (Private Educational Institutes)」.
2. Refunds Due to Basantara’s Fault Refundable Conditions:

If Basantara fails to provide an instructor according to the agreed schedule.

If the service is suspended for more than 7 days due to a technical issue on Basantara’s side.

If Basantara cancels a program for operational reasons.
Calculation of Refund Amount:

The refund amount is calculated proportionally on a session basis.

The cost of sessions already completed will be deducted from the total payment amount.
3. Refunds Due to Student’s Fault Before the start of the class:

100% refund: When canceling before the first class begins.
After the start of the class:
-
2/3 refund of the tuition fee paid: Before 1/3 of the program is completed.
-
1/2 refund of the tuition fee paid: Before 1/2 of the program is completed.
-
No refund: After 1/2 of the program is completed.
4. Special Provisions 4-1. Learning Materials:

If the student has received physical materials (printed books), the cost of printing and shipping will be deducted from the refund amount.
4-2. Changed Class Schedule:

Basantara provides a service to postpone or change the schedule if a student requests a change at least 3 hours before the scheduled class time.

All rescheduled classes requested from the originally agreed-upon schedule are converted into “service sessions” and are considered already completed.
4-3. Validity Period:

After payment, all registered sessions and service sessions have a valid period of 2 years.

Classes that have passed their validity period are not eligible for a refund.
4-4. Free Classes:

Free classes are not eligible for a refund as no payment was made.
5. Corporate Client Refunds For corporate clients:

Refund policies may be negotiated through a separate contract.
-
Corporate client refunds require mutual agreement between both parties.

Processing may take 14-30 business days.
6. Disputes and Resolution for Refund-Related Disputes

An official objection should be raised with the customer service team.
-
Internal mediation will be conducted within 14 business days.
7. Exceptions This policy does not apply to:

Third-party official exam fees (OPI, FLEX).
-
International shipping fees.
-
Additional costs outside the program package.
-
Indirect losses due to program cancellation.
8. Policy Changes Basantara reserves the right to amend this refund policy with 30 days’ notice. Changes do not apply to programs purchased before the effective date of the change.
